VTBS it is known for the quality of its courses and has been addressed by many biblical scholars of national and international repute.  From its earliest days, VTBS has enabled teachers, students, ministers and laity to deepen their knowledge of biblical literature and keep abreast of current research.

The annual summer school runs for two weeks in late July and / or early August.  Each week is complete in itself, so that it is possible to attend either one or both weeks of study.  The programme also leaves time to socialise with fellow participants, relax in the College gardens, explore the historic city of Cambridge and the surrounding countryside, or engage in private study.  Participants have access to the library at Westminster College for reference and study, subject to opening times.
