Summer Biblical Study in Cambridge
The Vacation Term for Biblical Study (VTBS - inaugurated 1903) runs Summer Biblical Study in Cambridge, an annual summer school for all who wish to develop their understanding of the Bible through academic study. It is known for the academic quality of its courses, and has been addressed by many biblical scholars of national and international repute. From its earliest days, VTBS has enabled teachers, students, ministers and laity to deepen their understanding of the biblical literature and to keep abreast of current scholarship. Read what participants have said about the summer school.
In 2015 the summer school offers two weeks of study (Sunday 2nd to Friday 7th August and Sunday 9th to Friday 14th August) at Robinson College, Cambridge.
Each week of the programme is complete in itself, so that it is possible to attend and enjoy either one or both weeks of study. The programme leaves time to explore the attractions of the historic City of Cambridge and the surrounding countryside, relax in the College gardens or engage in private study. Participants will also have access to the Cambridge Divinity Library for reference and study.
