St. Anne's College, Oxford
Summer Biblical Study in Oxford
The Vacation Term for Biblical Study was inaugurated in 1903. It is known for the academic quality of its courses, and has been addressed by many biblical scholars of national and international repute.
The Term is held annually for two weeks at the end of July and the beginning of August, in the inspiring setting of St Anne's College Oxford. From its earliest days, the term has enabled teachers, students, ministers and laity to deepen their understanding of the biblical literature and to keep abreast of current scholarship.
Each week of the programme is complete in itself, so that it is possible to attend and enjoy either one or both weeks of study. The programme leaves ample time to enjoy the attractions of Oxford, visiting the colleges, museums and bookshops, socialising and enjoying the surrounding countryside.
